A puppy class in Bali starts from about the price of a restaurant meal. This page lines up the from-prices, sets them beside ordinary yoga in Ubud and names the small charges around the ticket.

Start with this
The puppy yoga price you see first on a booking page is a from-price: the smallest figure, tied to the cheapest date and option of that listing. For the Ubud and Uluwatu puppy class it is $40, and the listing gives a duration of 1 hour. In that hour you get an English-speaking instructor, a gentle Hatha session and a final stretch of puppy play and photos.
The European Central Bank's reference rate turns the dollar fares here into your currency, with rounding, so checkout may show a slightly different figure. The booking page calculates the exact total for the date and guest count you enter, and that total is the one to trust.
Because a from-price is the starting point, two listings can show the same headline number and differ in length, group size or location. Read the one-hour line, the instructor line and the cancellation line on each listing, and only then compare the numbers.
Fares side by side
| Outing | Entry fare | Class length | What it consists of |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ubud puppy class | $40 | 1 hour in all | Hatha yoga, puppy play |
| Canggu puppy class | $31 | 1 hour in all | Puppy yoga and drinks |
| Healing yoga hour | $21 | 1.5 hours long | Yoga and meditation |
| Sound yoga session | $26 | 2 to 3 hours long | Energy and sound work |
| Wellness day | $82 | 8 hours in all | Ritual, massage, yoga |
Every amount is a from-price taken from the booking platform, and the lengths are the listings' own.
Bali has a second puppy yoga listing, in Canggu and Uluwatu, with a lower starting fare of $31. It is also a 1 hour class with an English-speaking instructor, and it adds refreshing drinks in its title. On price alone it looks like the better deal, but the two are not the same product.
The Canggu and Uluwatu listing excludes children under 16 from a regular session, while the Ubud and Uluwatu listing admits children aged 6 and up. For a family, the cheaper ticket may simply not be available, and that matters more than the gap of a few dollars. The location also differs, since only one of the two lists an Ubud class.
The review counts differ too. The Canggu and Uluwatu class shows 1,008 reviews at 4.84, and the Ubud and Uluwatu class 185 reviews at 4.73. A larger count means more people have rated it, which tells you something about how widely it has been tried, though not whether a particular session will suit you. On a trip with a tight schedule, a class with a higher rating but a far-away venue is a worse buy than a closer one with a slightly lower score, since the travel time eats into the morning.
Fares in one picture
Each bar is the starting price a listing shows today, not a quote.
The puppy hour costs more than several ordinary classes. A 1.5 hour yoga and healing meditation in Ubud starts from $21, and a one-hour private Hatha class at your own place in Ubud from $17. A sound yoga and energy healing session of 2 to 3 hours starts from $26.
The big studios publish their own prices in rupiah. The Yoga Barn lists a single drop-in class at IDR 180K and class cards from IDR 495K for 3 classes, and its mats and props are included.2,3,4 We quote those as the studio states them, in rupiah, and do not convert them.
So the extra money goes on the puppies, not on better yoga. That is a perfectly good reason to book, as long as you know it. If your goal is a stretch and a calm morning, a plain class costs less and asks nothing of any animal; the ethics page explains the other side of the trade.

The one fixed charge is the island levy. Visitors from abroad owe the Bali levy of Rp 150,000 each, a single time per trip, settled without cash through the Love Bali portal before landing or at the airport and port counters.1,5 It is separate from the class and from any other activity, so budget for it once.
Getting to the venue is your own cost. The listing states that the exact address and directions arrive after booking, so you cannot price a ride in advance. From the airport, Indonesia Travel says a prepaid cab to Ubud can be quite costly, and taxis, rental cars and buses also go.6
Inside Ubud you can get around on foot or on a rented bicycle or scooter, although the town is hilly.7 If the class is in Uluwatu, the trip is much longer, and that is worth pricing before you choose between the two meeting points.
The money trail, step by step
While choosing
Compare the from-price and the age rule of each listing.
On the fare page
Enter the date and the number of guests and read the figure shown.
Before you pay for a class
The free cancellation window closes 24 hours before the start.
Before the flight out
Rp 150,000 for every visitor, charged once on the trip.1
On the mat itself
The listing asks for 15 minutes before the start.
On the Ubud and Uluwatu class you get a full refund for cancelling 24 hours or more ahead, and you may hold a slot now and pay afterwards. The Canggu and Uluwatu class gives the same two terms. That makes comparing dates a low-risk exercise: you can hold a morning, check the weather and let go of it at no cost.
The 24 hour line is firm. Inside that window you are not refunded, so put the deadline in your calendar the moment you book. If you travel with children, confirm their ages against the listing's rule before you hold a slot, since the age rules are the most common reason to cancel.
Keep the confirmation email. It names the option and the time you chose, and it is how the organiser matches you to a session when you arrive 15 minutes early.

The listing says to dress for the weather when a session is held outdoors, so the season is part of the plan. Indonesia Travel dates the dry season from April through October and the wet season from November through March across most of the country, Bali too.8 The Japan Meteorological Agency's normals for Denpasar show 350.7 mm of rain in January against 27.6 mm in July.9,10
That spread is the reason the cancellation terms matter. A class you can drop up to 24 hours before costs you nothing if a downpour is forecast for the morning, and a class held in a covered pavilion may not care at all. Ask the organiser what happens in heavy rain before you pick a date in the wet months, since the listing does not say.
Whatever you choose, book the date you can keep. A slot held and then abandoned inside the 24 hour window is the single most avoidable cost in this guide, and one a calendar alert prevents.
The calculator at the top of this page multiplies a from-price by the number of guests. It is a rough guide: it assumes everyone books the cheapest date and the same option. How much puppy yoga is for a family depends on who joins. For a family with children aged 6 and up the Ubud and Uluwatu class is the one that admits all of you, so price that one first.
If part of the group does not want the puppies, a split plan can cost less. Some of you can take the puppy class while others join a plain yoga hour at $21, or skip the class and keep the morning free. One person stepping out does not change anyone else's booking.
And if you are weighing the puppy hour against a full wellness day, the wellness day, with a water ritual, massage and yoga, takes 8 hours with pickup included and starts from $82. They are different purchases, and we compare them on the retreats page.
